Desmond
Desmond - 12 years old. Des is a Fresian draft gelding. He is one of the newest family herd members. I was contacted in November 2022 by our local Hood River animal control deputy that a horse was being neglected. She provided our information to the owner who contacted me. The owner had a change in his life situation and asked if we could accept the horse. It took a couple months and we were able to free up space for Desmond to come to the sanctuary. He is a gentle and kind giant. I have noticed that his demeanor and energy is of peace and comfort. Des loves to be brushed and has a sense of body awareness.
Sponsorship provides steady, monthly care for this horse.
Your support helps provide hay, nutritional supplements, veterinary cost, and the daily needs that allow them to live peacefully within the herd. Our objective is that each horse at Cimarron is supported by a small circle of monthly sponsors, ensuring their care remains consistent throughout the year for each horse.
